Junior Computer System Security Specialist
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Junior
Computer System Security Specialist duties and responsibilities consist
of, but are not limited to the following:
- Shall report directly to the contract Program Manager;
- Shall interface with Program Office designates on all issues involving certification process and report all issues or concern to contract Program Manager;
- Shall review, comprehend and be familiar with security related regulations and processes;
- Shall provide support and interface on all issues relative to the Certification and Accreditation and/or Independent Verification and Validation Processes to include, but not limited to, support and assistance to systems engineers, programmers, and developers;
- Shall compile, draft, review, develop, and deliver input on all aspects relevant to organization activities, processes and associated documentation;
- Shall have the ability to obtain and execute scripts for Security, Test and Evaluation purposes encompassing a variety of systems, architectural diversity, nomenclature and application platforms.
SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED
Secret or higher.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and three (3) years of
general experience with IT systems. Six (6) years of general experience is considered
equivalent to a Bachelors Degree. The candidate(s) shall be capable of planning
and carrying out tasks to completion, with appropriate supervision. The
candidate(s) shall have excellent communication skills, writing skills and have
command of the English language. Candidate(s) shall be capable of interpreting
task requirements and selecting appropriate methodologies to complete task. The
candidate(s) shall be capable of performing research and evaluating emerging
information technologies relevant to the IT Security. Candidate(s) shall
be capable of providing analytical services and drawing conclusions in regard to
system architecture, equipment, and software.
